Choosing socks for a young rider
Start with their current shoe size
Small UK 12–3 runs from children’s UK shoe size 12 through to UK size 3. Choose by shoe size rather than age, and select Small on products that also offer adult sizes. Our size guide explains the labels.
Check the style for their riding boots
Look at sock length, cushioning and fabric, as well as the design. Check how much room there is in their boots with their usual jodhpurs or breeches on. The children’s range includes different constructions, so use each product’s description rather than assuming every pair is the same.
Buying for lessons or as a gift?
Check their shoe size and whether they prefer a long or short sock. Let them choose a colour or animal design, or use our sock finder to compare ranges. Select the required size and colour on the product page to confirm availability.
