Christmas deliveries Christmas 2022 & Information on the Post Office Industrial Action

Royal Mail has been our chosen provider for over ten years as a small family business. Until recently, this service has been excellent. However, the current industrial action and postal strikes are causing delays to our usually very swift delivery timeframes.

We have created this page to give our customers support and essential information should your parcel be delayed.

Christmas Delivery Guarantees

Royal Mail has brought their guaranteed Christmas delivery date to Friday, 16th December. Therefore, to allow sufficient processing times, we ensure Christmas delivery on all orders placed by Wednesday, 14th December. All orders after this date will be processed, as usual; however, Christmas delivery with Royal Mail cannot be guaranteed.

Upcoming Postal Strike Dates

Royal Mail has listed the below strike dates:

Friday 9th December

Sunday 11th December

Wednesday 14th December

Thursday 15th December

Friday 23rd December

Saturday 24th December

Current Delivery Timeframes

In some areas of the country, we are experiencing delays of up to five working days beyond our usual 2-3 day delivery timeframe. This is causing frustration for our customers, and we can only apologise. At this challenging time, we’d like to thank everybody for their patience and understanding.

Escalations

We can only escalate delayed parcels ten working days after shipping. Whilst this is very frustrating for us, thankfully, less than 2% of packages take this time to deliver. At this time, we ask for a little extra patience before chasing deliveries to allow our staff to focus on turning around everybody’s orders quickly and getting more parcels into the system quicker. If your technical riding socks have not arrived within ten working days, please get in touch with us, and we will immediately escalate this for you.

Our customer care team is under immense pressure with the delays these strikes are causing. We want to remind everyone that we are human beings behind the keyboard who have worked tirelessly for many years to build a highly-reputable business. We want to ask for kindness and patience as we work through this incredibly tough period for us and other small businesses.

Tracking Numbers

Whilst many shipping services we offer with Royal Mail have tracking options. We are seeing an increase in the number of tracking numbers needing to update as usual. Many tracking numbers are only updated on Royal Mail’s website upon the point of delivery, causing further frustration for us all. If your tracking number isn’t working, it will be upon the point of delivery and show as delivered.
