Sarah Carless one of the Twitterati attended Glasto recently, as the Coolhorse team couldnt get tickets this year we asked Sarah to send us a piccy of her socks in action.... @Sarah_C3980Sarah C @coolhorsesocks2 socks & hunter wellies were a must at Glasto 2011
"I choose Cool Horse Socks for riding at home & at competitions & for when I am on my feet all day coaching. The innovative design works brilliantly keeping my feet comfortable, & a great colour range means I have a variety to choose from, now I have tried them, I wouldn't wear anything else." Paul Crago, International Show Jumper April 2011 April 12th 2011 - @beatlepayne @coolhorsesocks2 my tail sock has been washed and went to Weston Park PT and is still as good as new, we love it.:@) April 4th 2011- Tried and Tested....@BSFeventing Clare Stringer @coolhorsesocks2 The tail sock is the best thing ever, 3 outings & 3 IMMACULATE tails on arrival! Easy to wash too and looks smart, V happy! New Tailsock instructional video featuring the delightful Mrs Savory and Blue Helen Fargher on the Isle of Man said "Got my tail sock for M and my first pair of coolhorsesocks of my very own!!! YAY!! I admit I was a bit worried that M's tail would be a bit too much being a very hairy 16.1 Friesian with a tail down to the ground - but it swallowed it whole with just a couple of inches to fold up and M was very pleased indeed you didnt consider having a pink option!! Thank you - brilliant idea and great product. Now for my socks....!!"
I Love my competition socks. They fit perfectly under my gaiters without having that extra bulk you can get from wearing long socks. Sunday was also a very cool day but my feet stayed nice and toasty from the Coolmax material that the socks are made from. My Mum also loves them as they are easy to wash and quick to dry. They are lightweight and without a doubt the best socks on the market.
Hi Nice note from Carrie a happy customer in December 2010
"hi Tim
Katie in action in her new Hoopla socks - first onto the gallops on Mojo whenthe first snows of 2010 descended on coolhorse manor........ Nov 2010
"Hello, Inharness magazine chief "tester" Rachel Horton sent me the tail sock to try out with my white ponies - despite my initial scepticism - they can wriggle out of anything designed to keep them clean - I'm really impressed with it, it stayed on and it worked for me and we are including it in our December issue. Here are a couple of pictures of Kipling having fun frolicking and driving at Ashfields. I have three white ponies and Kipling's is the most beautiful. He's the East Anglia Open Pony Champion and half of the Midlands pony pair champions, too." Fiona Powell Nov 19th 2010
Rachel Horton from In-Harness Magazine sent us a little note after the magazine had tried and tested a pair of socks from each range "Personally - I am a fan of the work horse socks. They worked really well with my welly boots" Adele from Newark rang the office on November 8th 2010 to say she had just read a piece about us in Equestrian Lifestyle and it prompted her to ring us to tell us how she bought 3 pairs of the riding socks at the Broadway BE event in June and that she wears them constantly and that they have been washed and washed and that she loves them - she competed in Osbaston Horse trials in the Cross Country bedecked in her Hippy Trippy Pinks!!! She bought three more pairs.... Sue Brightman of Beverley in October 2010 sent us a lovely email “Thank you very much, I really appreciate your prompt response and my friend will be delighted - she say's they are the most comfortable socks she has ever worn - of course I slipped in a pair for myself as I agree!! They really are comfortable socks - the seams don't rub even if you have tight boots on and I have a dodgy ankle which the extra support in the foot is great for, they are also lovely and warm - I wore mine to work in the snow last year!!! ....not only have they been sent, they have arrived!!! Thank you very much for the prompt service, no doubt I will be in touch again soon!" July 2010 Jo Stout of the Fernie PC sent us a wonderful picture of their Tet team wearing the Blue Just Chillin range... dont they look brill.... great picture too.. the joys of youth.... thanks Jo
May 17th 2010 Niki Brewer sent us a brill email after buying product from us at Solihull BE Event, here it is.... "Hi there, I bought a tail sock from you at the BE event at Solihull Riding Club a few weeks ago and said I would let you know how it is....I had a Large size for my 15hh Welsh Cobs and it’s a brilliant fit...I think a smaller one would be too tight as they have such thick tails...really easy to put on and it stays in place really well though I have put a tail bandage over the top for travelling. I also bought the shorty socks and they are just brilliant...I am a farmer and wear them all day inside wellies and they don’t move around at all and give my feet really good support....and then I can just change from wellies to riding boots without having to change socks as well!! Definitely the best socks I have bought for years as long as they stand the test of time....so far so good after 2-3 washes for each pair! Many thanks for a brilliant product, Niki Brewer" May 7th 2010 Jo Metcalfe Editor at Horsemart trialled our socks after she talked with us at BETA this is what she had to say
"Cool socks are fabulous – warm and so comfortable. I have a real issue with socks as they are either too thick for riding boots or too thin so your feet get cold! Cool socks have overcome all these issues! No sweaty feet either … The colours are great and they made a superb gift for the girls on the yard. Highly recommend them to anyone" April 28th 2010 Caroline Ludkin of Gomersal Yorkshire sent us this lovely email
"My pink Hippy Trippy socks have arrived and WOW amazing!!. The colours are really vibrant and the quality is great. They fit like a dream and are just what I wanted. I will be looking to purchase other colours in the range. Thanks for the quick delivery, again customer service is outstanding, well done Cool Horse Socks....." "Hi Tim Thought I’d just let you know socks are going really well...have sold 12 pairs in 1 ½ days of them being on display, which I think is pretty good! Will no doubt be needing some more soon. Take care Karen JUMP Guernsey Pat Smith was our first online purchaser of some of the new shorty socks and this is what she said after wearing them... " Just put some of your short socks through the mill-wear-wash-wear-wash. I knew the long socks were great. Love the short ones too-very comfortable,no rubbing round the tops - another winner......" Rhea Freeman of Rhea Freeman PR was asked to do an independent trial of both ranges of socks, this is what she said in March 2010 " StableHorse- Whirlpools End Whirlpools End socks not only look good, they are comfortable, great to wash and really easy to wear too. The socks are longer than normal socks, which means that they can be folded down over the top of boots. I would say that this action helps keep the socks in place but, in all honesty, the way that they are made does this perfectly well…even after washing. They are also very supportive which is great if you are on your feet a lot or doing anything that could cause your legs to ache. I’ve worn these socks for riding and for general wear- in fact, I try and wear them as much as possible! Workhorse- Bradgate I love these socks- they are soft and comfortable and even though they are great with wellies, they are equally good for lounging around watching television and wearing when out and about in the winter. The socks are long and can be turned down over the tops of wellies or just pulled up to keep legs extra snug which is exactly what I do when it is cold! They wash well, dry quickly and don’t get distorted or lose their elasticity in the wash." Testimonial from Jenny Morgan (author, Showing Native Ponies et al) February 27th 2010 "Walking round the BETA exhibition, I was suffering with pain from a recent operation on my ankle to repair ligaments that I tore by missing the step of the horse box after a long day at a show. Having taken off my boot and sock and shown poor Tim Riley my crumpled and scarred foot, I was taken pity upon and became the proud possessor of a pair of Coolhorsesocks. What can I say – they are absolutely brilliant! They keep you feet warm but not hot. They support the foot, leg and very important to me the ankle – and they are smart too. After more than fifty years with horses it takes a lot to impress me – and these socks really do! I will not be wearing anything else in future. Thanks, Tim!" 8th February 2010 - Quote from Pat of Merseyside who ordered 3 pairs from the stableHorse range "not only are they cheery colours but they are extremely comfortable to wear all day .Feet warm and dry. And made in Britain
Georgia Baker – Groom

What Graham has to say about the socks
Guy Sheffield – Farrier
"I got given a pair of the Workhorse socks by my boss John as he had bought me a new pair of wellies, they are great as they are so warm and my mum says they wash well too. Being up to me knee means that my feet stay pretty warm all day long as you can guess im out in alll weathers driving tractors or doing other stuff for the farm... i have just been given some Lime green funky munky socks to try - how cool are these..... i want some to go to town in...." Michayla Merry - Equestrian worker and prospective Tack Shop Owner Michayla was one of the first to secure the new Whirlpools End colourway in Brown, Michayla said of the socks " i just had to have a pair of the new brown edition of Whirlpools end, i just love them, i look after a number of horses and like to look and feel good whilst i go about my daily chores and these socks are great in doing that. Cant wait for the next edition- come on Coolhorse socks i'm waiting!" Guy (Kendo Nagasaki) Guy sent in this "Prinz of Thieves" equestrian performance riding socks being used to keep his feet warm whilst sledging - he told us that they kept his feet really warm and definitely helped in his performance on the slopes!! Twas a frosty morning when Michayla decided to take Bobby for a walk sporting her Lime Green Funky Munky Coolhorse socks as you can see the socks matched the reflective apparel Bobby was wearing and certainly accentuated her visibility to the oncoming traffic. |
